MEET THE MAN HELPING HEAL JEN’ HEART
With her ex Ben now recovering in rehab, the actress is being supported by an ‘amazing’ co-star
Following heartbreaking photos of Jennifer Garner driving her estranged alcoholic husband Ben Affleck to rehab last week, the world praised her for putting aside their differences and stepping in to save his life, calling her “Hollywood’s most forgiving wife”.
Now, Woman’s Day can reveal there’s a handsome man helping Jen navigate her way through all the drama. Rising actor Arturo Del Puerto, who co-stars with the actress in the upcoming miniseries Camping, has been there for her to lean on as she does everything she can to help heal the father of her three children.
ROMANCE BLOSSOMS
“Jen and Arturo have been getting on really well,” our insider says. “He’s a hilarious guy with a big heart, and he thinks Jen is amazing. They share a passion for charity work and a love of animals. They’ve become close while filming, and people think it could be turning into more than a friendship.”
Arturo, who’s starred in Fear The Walking Dead, CHIPS and Independence Day: Resurgence, helped Jen celebrate her 46th b birthday in April by packing f food parcels for those in need.
“Happy birthday Jennifer G Garner, you are one of the most l lovely human beings I know,” he s shared on Instagram. To which J Jennifer sweetly replied, “Loved t that you came and made the w whole evening better and more f fun,” adding kisses and a heart.
PERFECT P MATCH
The Thththth pair have been cast in new c comedy series Camping along w with David Tennant, Ione Skye a and Juliette Lewis. Based on the U UK series, it follows a camping t trip that goes horribly wrong. “All the cast get along really w well and they’ve been spending a lot of time together,” spills our insider. “They’ve been able to get to know each other in a fun and relaxed environment. Arturo and Jen have had a lot of chats and it’s easy to see there’s a connection between them. A lot of people have noticed it and think that Arturo would be a great match for Jen!”
Although electricity already exists between the two, sources says Jen is determined to put her kids before romance, at least until Ben, 46, is out of rehab.
FAMILY FIRST
Days after she drove a tearful Ben to a facility in LA, it was revealed the two have at last finalised their divorce. A source told TMZ they’ve agreed how to split their property and earnings from their 12-year marriage. They’ve also agreed to joint custody of children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six.
Sources reveal Ben will be staying at the rehab facility for “an extended period of time”.
“Ben wants nothing more than to get sober for his kids, for Jen and also for his career,” an insider explained last week. “He realises what he could lose in life if he doesn’t stick to the program and dedicate himself to these big changes.”
