Meghan’s modern birthing plan revealed
After months of speculation about where Meghan will give birth, it seems royal watchers finally have their answer.
It was believed Meghan would break tradition and welcome her babies at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, which is close to the couple’s future home of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. But now it looks like the Duchess will give birth at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital after all.
While it has not been confirmed, staff at the prestigious maternity ward were told that they could not have any time off in April, sparking whispers it’s because Meghan will be checking in.
The Lindo Wing is where Princes William and Harry were both born, and William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, welcomed all three of their children there.
However, true to her reputation, Meghan isn’t doing everything by the royal rulebook as she’s apparently hired doula Lauren Mishcon to provide her with emotional support while she’s in labour.
Although doulas are not medical professionals, they have become popular as birth companions.
“Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth – she’s a big believer in that,” says a source.
