FRESH FACED

Make the most of your body’s natural repair time and wake up more beautiful

- Katy Bacon

Want to start the day superfresh? Murad’s Australasia Pacific education manager Katy Bacon serves up four hacks to a healthy glow.

Remove the day’s grime

Your skin will have a better chance of repairing itself if it can breathe. “Double cleanse in the evening to ensure the pores are clean without any trace of make-up, dirt, oil and pollution,” says Katy. Then apply night-time products earlier as our bodies’ circadian rhythm works to regenerate skin between 9pm and 12pm. Doing this will ensure “healthy, regenerated and youthful-looking skin in the morning,” says Katy. WHAT TO USE After cleansing, Katy’s go-to is retinol: “It stimulates new collagen and rapidly turns over old skin cells,” she says, adding vitamin C aids detoxification and brightens your skin as you sleep.
