Woman’s Day (Australia)

Our fave songstress’ baby dreams come true – with twins!

The star’s longed to start a family and now her baby dreams have come true times two!

-

As she made her way to an appearance on Extra in LA on January 31, Australia’s favourite songstress Delta Goodrem was looking more radiant than ever.

And her glowing appearance has further fuelled excited whispers the The Voice coach is preparing to become a mum.

Now Woman’s Day can reveal she has twice the reason to celebrate!

“Delta was touching her stomach in a protective manner as she made her way to the studio and looked ridiculously happy,” an eyewitness tells us.

“Then she held up two fingers in the air – it definitely seemed like she was trying to tell the fans some very exciting news.”

DOUBLY HAPPY

As Woman’s Day previously reported, the 34-year-old and her boyfriend Matthew Copley quietly broke the news to their close friends and family they’re expecting their first child together.

But now insiders are convinced the pop diva has not one but two babies on the way!

“D “Delta’s been drop dropping hints and every everyone’s convinced it’s twins,” twin a close friend confirms. “Whenever anyone asks her abo about being pregnant, she goes all coy and smiles, telling peop people they’ll just have to wait and s see. She also keeps saying she’s doubly happy!”

Delta – who first started dating her muso man over a year ago – has kept her relationship on the down low after a string of high-profile failed romances, and despite some ups and downs with her current love, the couple are believed to have secretly tied the knot over the new year.

“It may seem like this relationship is moving quickly, quuickly, but as a couple they’re bothb both ready for the next step and nnd eager to start a family,” aan an insider close to the pair r explains. explains.e

“Delta loves kids and even evene though twins would be a handful, they’re ready for foor the challenge. Delta’s always ysy wanted a family and she’s a naturally tuurally nurturing person who’ll ll make a great mum.”

After receiving treatment m ment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma mam in 2003, the Born To Try s singer admitted she wasn’t sure if it had left her infertile, which is sometimes the case after chemotherapy and radiation, but added she hoped motherhood would come to her later in her life anyway.

DELTA’S LOVE NEST

Now after doting on her twoyear-old nephew Nate and five-month-old niece Emmy, Delta knows it’s her time to embrace parenthood.

And she and Matt have already started nesting. On a trip to her hometown of Sydney in late January, the star purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in the swanky suburb of Darlinghurst for $4.8 million.

Although Delta and Matt currently spend most of their time in LA, she’s sold her home there and plans to return Down Under to continue work on The Voice Australia. “Delta and Matt love LA but when it comes to having children, it makes sense that they want to be close to their own families,” our insider says. “Apparently, they’re talking about making Australia their permanent base and returning to the US for work when necessary. They agree it would be a great place to raise kids.”

Fans will know that Delta hasn’t always been lucky in love – with romances left in ruins with Mark Philippoussis, Drew Mitchell, Brian Mcfadden and Nick Jonas. However, she’s always believed in the fairytale family and it seems she’s got her happy ending at last.

“Delta hoped someday she’d meet the right person to settle down with,” our source spills. “At last, she has!”
