Meghan is sharing some very happy news with her friends
Tucked away in the comfort of her luxury country cottage in Windsor, the Duchess of Sussex has thrown herself wholeheartedly into her “dreamy” new role as a mum.
Away from the spotlight, royal sources say Meghan is determined to be a hands-on mum to her and Prince Harry’s adorable two-month-old boy, Master Archie.
Not even the blur of sleepless newborn nights and endless nappy changes could dampen Meghan’s joy at being a mother, and now sources tell Woman’s Day she’s ready to do it all over again – as soon as she can!
A palace insider reveals Meghan is already telling friends she’s planning to give Archie a little brother or sister immediately.
“She loves being a mum, and she’s healthy and recovering beautifully from the birth, so Meghan’s of the opinion there’s no need to wait to have another,” one royal source tells us. “If she had her way, she’d already be pregnant – who’s to say she isn’t?”
While Harry,
34, who has been forced to
defend his wife’s behaviour since her initiation into the royal family at their May wedding last year, is said to be in less of a hurry to welcome the couple’s second child, there’s no denying he’s always longed to be a dad to a brood of his own.
And since both the duke and duchess are on the same page with wanting more than one child, sources say they agreed before their nuptials that it was important they didn’t wait too long to achieve their hopes of a large family.

“Meghan is almost 38, so of course she’s aware that the clock is ticking,” the source points out. “They conceived Archie quickly, but they were always well aware that it could take a lot longer with a second – and then of course they would always have been thinking ahead to baby number three.”
Whispers within the royal circle that Meghan is ready for a second baby ramped up when bookies in London last week slashed odds on another baby Sussex arriving in 2020. It led many to speculate Meghan, who announced her first pregnancy when she and Harry were in Australia, might already be expecting.

A Coral spokesman says, “There’s rarely smoke without fire”, so it’s no wonder royal fans have certainly got their hopes up.
Meanwhile, Meghan is enjoying her maternity leave, and is making it clear she’s determined to hide away and focus on her little family – another sign leading eager royal watchers to think she might already have some exciting news to share.
Speculation also comes amid reports the duke and duchess spent a whopping $4.4 million on renovating their Windsor home and turning it into the perfect abode for their growing family.
Despite Meghan’s eagerness to expand her brood, another insider tells Woman’s Day she’s been warned to “slow down” by a number of senior members of the family and royal advisers alike, who’ve caught wind of her baby plans – but the duchess doesn’t want to listen.
It will come as no surprise to many, after the former Suits star has been the subject of endless headlines driven by her determination to buck royal tradition and do things her own way.
