NICOLE & KEITH’S ADOPTION JOY: IT’S A BOY!

Sisters Sunday and Faith have a baby brother on the way

-

A hs she warmly l embraced b d her two daughters, Nicole Kidman beamed for the camera and declared on social media,

“I am nothing without the love of my family.”

The dedicated mum says her girls Sunday, 11, and Faith, eight – alongside her husband Keith Urban, 51 – are everything to her, which is why it’s not surprising in the least that she’s ready to share even more love by expanding her brood.

A well-placed insider tells Woman’s Day that after years of thought, Nicole, 52, and Keith have finally decided to adopt a baby together – and friends say they’re “over the moon”.

NATURAL PATH

“Keith knows just how long Nicole has wanted another child for and he finally just said to her, ‘What are we waiting for?’” says the source.

“Neither of them are getting any younger, and she’s accepted that she’s not going to have a baby naturally at her age, so adoption seemed like the natural path. They’ve both realised lately

how quickly Sunday and Faith are growing up and they honestly miss hearing h i the h pitter-patter i of f tiny i feet running around the house.”

Nicole was almost 40 when she married Keith, and openly admits that had she met the country singer sooner, they’d “have had 10” kids.

It was only a couple of years ago that she revealed she hadn’t given up on falling pregnant again, saying, “I still have the faintest hope that something may happen to me this year.”

The Big Little Lies star ad added, “Keith and I would lo love to have more babies. M My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49. I would be beyond happy and just w welcome it with open arms.”

ALWAYS A GRATEFUL

But in juggling two successful careers and raising their daughters, the couple’s dream of adding to their family fell to the wayside.

Keith would often concede they “should be grateful for what they had already”, says a source. And Nicole – who also has two adopted children, Connor, 24, and Isabella, 26, with her former husband

rTom To Cruise, 56 – thanks her lucky stars for her family every day.

“But neither of them could shift their sense of yearning to become p parents again,” adds th the insider of the co couple, who recently cele celebrated their 13th wedd wedding anniversary. “They “They’d just love a healthy child in any an way, shape or form, although althou Keith admits he’d love a so son, so they’ve suggested the they’d like a boy.

“He adores his girls, but he’s always wondered what it would be like to have a boy and it’s now a very real possibility. The paperwork is ready to go, so it’s very exciting.” Considering nothing brings Nicole more joy than motherhood, it’s understandable that she’s beside herself with anticipation over the new arrival. “Children keep you young,” she says. “There’s something true about their life force. They keep you engaged and they bring joy.” Keith certainly can’t wait to see his wife embrace another child the way she has done with their daughters. “She’s an extraordinary mum. Those girls are very, very lucky,” Keith says of his family.

“Her attention to honouring their feelings and listening to them right from day one is really beautiful to see.”
