KATE CONFIRMS BABY #4!
A glowing princess shares the exciting news with her friends
After weeks of growing baby rumours, an excited Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted apparently confirming to friends that she’s expecting her highly anticipated fourth child.
Wearing a stunning Emilia Wickstead floral frock – and a beaming smile – a glowing Kate appeared to reveal some incredibly happy news to her friend, The Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry, as both women arrived to open the royal’s Back to Nature garden in Surrey last week.
“Kate was in deep conversation with Mary, who seemed thrilled at the topic of whatever they were discussing. Mary gave her a lovely cuddle and even a quick little motherly touch to Kate’s tummy,” an onlooker tells Woman’s Day.
“You don’t often see members of the public touch a royal at all, let alone this intimately. It looked like a special moment between the two and an instinctive reaction from Mary. And Kate didn’t seem to mind the breach of protocol one bit.”
Other onlookers were abuzz with chatter that the usually slender mum-of-three Kate, 37, looked to have the adorable beginnings of a belly bump.
“This would be her fourth child, so perhaps Kate and William don’t feel the need to release a palace statement and instead, this time, she’ll just let word of mouth be her official announcement,” a royal insider tells us.
Kate, who is already mum to Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, 16 months, has made no secret of the fact she wanted one more baby – but has made it clear to friends that it was her husband who needed convincing.
“Kate feels she was born to be a mum and always wanted a big family. William thought they should call it quits at three, but Kate decided she wanted to go for a fourth almost as soon as Louis hit six months. It looks like she got her way!”
The timing couldn’t be better for Kate, who waved her only daughter Charlotte off on her first day of big school on September 5, leaving just little Louis at home during the week. At the Nature Garden opening, a clearly clucky Kate revealed the young prince has a green thumb like his mum and “loves smelling the flowers” in their garden at Kensington Palace.
