INSURE TO ENSURE

Here are some of the insurances out there for all of life’s stages

-

FUNERAL INSURANCE

None of us really want to have to think about planning our own funeral, but it’s important to make sure your family will be able to manage the costs that come with it – which can be anything from $4000 to $15,000. Seniors Funeral Insurance can help protect your family from these costs, and even have premiums that reduce every five years. Call 1300 078 596 or visit seniors.com.au Note: This is general information. Please consider the PDS, available from seniors.com.au. Terms and conditions apply. If you change your cover your premium will be affected. Issued by Hannover Life Re of Australasia Ltd, ABN 37 062 395 484.

INCOME PROTECT ION

This is a type of life insurance that covers a portion of your income if you’re unable to work due to ongoing sickness or injury. While most policies will differ, they usually cover around 75 per cent of your pay packet. Cost of your premium will depend on a number of factors such as your age, gender, pre-existing medical conditions and of course your occupation. Whether this is for everyone or not – it’s a matter of doing your homework and seeing if it’s right for your circumstances.

HEALTH INSURANCE

People seem to be asking more and more if it’s worth having health insurance. The answer? It depends. Health insurance can mean you won’t have to wait in a queue for certain treatments, you’ll get money back on particular services like dental and optical and if you need to go into hospital, you can go private. There are plenty of premium calculators online you can look at to see what you’ll be paying and what the benefits are so you can decide if it’s right for you.
