KATE & WILLS MORE IN LOVE THAN EVER!

Our favourite royals are playfully bending the rules with adorable touches and fun body language

-

When the Duchess of Cambridge swept down the BAFTAS red carpet in a stunning white and gold embroidered Alexander Mcqueen gown – looking more confident and like a queen-inwaiting than ever – the crowds gasped and heads turned in admiration as she stopped to greet A-list stars and fans.

But there was one person who couldn’t take his eyes of her – Kate’s admiring husband Prince William. And it is just one of many sweet encounters exchanged between the Cambridges in recent times that proved our favourite royal double act are more united than ever.

According to body language expert Judi James, the formally reserved Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appear to have

“relaxed their royal rules” and are upping the adorable touches and fun body language.

“William and Kate do seem to be bringing more non-verbal signals and touches into their ‘routine’ post-megxit,” says Judi.

“[They have an] understanding that they can push the boundaries a little without suffering from obsessive interest and criticism. As a result we’re seeing an increase of rituals that are showing the fun and the love but without compromising royal tradition.”

DOUBLE ACT

Clearly relaxed and happy, the pair couldn’t stop giggling during a visit to an ice-cream parlour in Swansea last week.

“William and Kate are currently showing a capacity for comedy and performing it as a double act to double the laughs,” says Judi, adding that their increased arm and back brushes – as seen when they visited the Welsh steelworks – signals their quiet affection and support for one another.

It’s not just physical signals the pair is displaying. William, 37, was recently dubbed Prince Charming as the couple greeted well-wishers at a pier in Wales. After one woman told him four-year-old Princess Charlotte was her favourite of the royal family, he replied, “Yes, she is lovely – just like my wife.”

Judi says the physical and verbal cues are reassuring for Kate. “Given the past few months of drama and emotional turmoil, these support signals are probably needed by William more than before,” she says.
