MARK & LAUREN’S CRUEL ATTACK!

The on-set secrets we couldn’t share… until now!

-

For 11 years, My Kitchen Rules has cemented itself as one of the country’s most popular reality TV cooking shows.

But after an eyebrow-raising season, not even the show’s resident judge Manu Feildel could justify all the antics!

“The competition is great, the food is great, unfortunately there is a bit too much fighting between the contestants,” the French chef, 46, confessed last week.

Now, Woman’s Day’s on-set spy reveals the bombshell truth about the show’s controversial finale, which was almost called off due to a simmering feud between contestants.

Brisbane siblings Jake and Elle Harrison were no doubt overjoyed to beat rivals Dan and Steph Mulheron this season, but our source says the finale’s taping almost didn’t happen after a bitter bust-up erupted when cameras weren’t rolling between resident villain Sophia Pou and Victorian-based team Mark and Lauren Matthews.

According to an on-set spy,

Mark, 40, and Lauren, 35, “elbowed” Sophia, 36, in the ribs during wardrobe fittings just hours before filming!

“When Sophia left her room to see the stylists, Mark and Lauren were coming out of a hallway and they nudged her really hard,” says the source. “Sophia was rattled by the whole thing.”

And while Mark and Lauren claimed it was an accident, our spy says Seven’s producers decided it was better to keep the couples apart and paid for Sophia and her cooking partner Romel Kouyen, 43, to travel in a private car to and from the finale the next day. But the remaining contestants, including Mark and Lauren, had to travel by bus.
