KATE RITCHIE’S MARRIAGE SHOCK THE RINGS ARE OFF!

The radio host has made a telling decision – she’s removed her wedding band

-

The past 12 months have been nothing short of tumultuous for former Home And Away star Kate Ritchie, whose marriage to her husband Stuart Webb has been thrust into the public sphere.

Despite everything he's put her through, the radio host, 41, has always done her best to protect her estranged 38-yearold husband's privacy and to make their marriage work.

But something seems to have changed between the pair with Kate making a pointed move by finally removing her wedding ring, leading insiders to believe she may have called time on their almost 10-year marriage.

BAND ON THE RUN

Appearing on her Nova radio show, eagle-eyed fans spied Kate not wearing the band for the first time since her and Stuart's shock altercation last year. In October, NSW police took an apprehended violence order out against her retired NRL star husband following an altercation at their East Sydney home. Officers were called to the multimilliondollar home they share in Sydney's Randwick, where their concern was so great they immediately sought an interim AVO banning Stuart from assaulting, threatening, harassing or stalking Kate.

Following the confrontation, Stuart agreed not to approach or be in the company of his wife “for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs”. Then, just a month later, the troubled dad caused his family more upheaval when he was forced to front court for driving while banned, following a string of drink-driving offences that date as far back as 2004.

When officers pulled him over in March 2019, reports stated he smelled of alcohol and his eyes were “glazed and bloodshot”. He was then taken to Waverley Police Station where a second reading returned a result of 0.083, and he was discovered to be driving on a suspended licence. He was given a two-year good behaviour bond.

‘Kate has been desperately trying to keep it together’

During the ordeal, Kate and the couple's daughter Mae, five, moved out of their marital home and into a granny flat belonging to friends from her Home And Away days. While it's not known if Kate and Stuart ever moved back in together, sources told Woman's Day the couple were attending counselling sessions to help them overcome the latest incident in their troubled marriage. Friends have since said the notoriously private star has been desperately trying to "keep it together" while juggling a busy work schedule and making sure her little girl feels as little impact as possible. However, Kate removing her wedding ring is a telling sign that time could well be up on her far-from-happy marriage.
