The star has finally beaten her demons and is in love
If Heather Locklear’s “I’m smiling” mask doesn’t say it all, the dazzling bling on her finger certainly does – the troubled star has turned her life around after years of depression, drug and alcohol problems and relationship issues.
Our exclusive picture shows the 58-year-old Melrose Place star showing off her new piece of jewellery as she ran errands in LA last week, looking happy and healthy just over a year after being admitted to rehab for pills, alcohol and mental health issues.

Heisser, has proposed in celebration. “Chris has known Heather since high school, when they first dated, and he’s seen all her ups and downs,” says a source. “For them to get engaged shows he must believe she’s worked through her issues.”
Heather’s battle with mental illness and addiction was first reported more than 10 years ago, when a man claiming to be her doctor called 911 to report she was suicidal. She later checked into rehab to help manage her depression. Her sister called 911 in 2012 over concerns she was drinking too much and a danger to herself.
In 2016, friends were happy Heather had reconnected with Chris, after years of doomed relationships, including divorces from Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora, who is the father of their daughter Ava, 22.
“Chris is a calming influence. A sense of normalcy despite her crazy Hollywood life,” says a source. “They were on and off as she battled her demons, and thankfully he has remained by her side.”
In 2018, the star’s brother called police over domestic violence claims against her “partner”. Though Chris wasn’t named, it’s widely believed he was the alleged victim. Charges were dropped, but she was booked on misdemeanour battery and resisting arrest. She entered rehab again in 2019.
“Heather’s in a great place and a lot of that is thanks to Chris,” says our source. “It’s such a relief to see her looking so happy, healthy and in love. She’ll need to manage her sobriety for the rest of her life, but she’s up to the challenge.”
