GOLDEN GIRL HOW KYLIE CASHED IN!

The pop princess hasn’t ha just been making makin crowd-pleasing hits hit – she’s amassed a $100 million fortune from selling everything from sunglasses to perfume and bed linen!

Long before the Kardashian clan dominated pop culture and gave rise to their most wealthy offspring, serial entrepreneur Kylie Jenner, the world knew of only one Kylie, Australia’s own Miss Minogue!

And just like the Kardashians, our Kylie hasn’t wasted any time, capitalising on her girl-next-door likeability and amassing a staggering $100 million empire. It certainly explains why the pop princess fought hard to win a legal battle against her reality TV star namesake, who had applied to trademark the name “Kylie” in the US.

ROSÉ FUTURE

Kylie, 52, might have a Grammy, seven UK number one hits, 14 studio albums and more than 70 million record sales but it’s her savvy side businesses that have seen her go from Aussie songstress to merchandise mogul.

Just last month, the Confide In Me singer revealed she was launching her latest venture, a dazzling line of pink rosé – the first in a series of wines set to arrive from the pop star.

The Vin de France rosé from her new label, Kylie Minogue Wines, is debuting exclusively at popular British supermarket chain Tesco. Priced at $16, it’s expected to land Down Under later this year.

Over the years the

I Should Be So Lucky singer has credited her business smarts and tenacity to her mum Carol.

When asked about her success, Kylie says, “My mum raised me and my sister [to believe] there was never a question if whether I could do something or not, as a female, everything was possible.

“Some people are blessed, and they seem to have it all from the outset. I didn’t, I had to learn. I fell over so many times, but you have to find your way to get through that.”

While friends credit Kylie for her uncanny ability to “bounce back” from battles with breast cancer to love-life mishaps, she’s certainly kept her eye on the business ball.

In 2008, she launched her first range of bedding, Kylie Minogue at Home, which is available worldwide. The deal is believed to net her at least $1 million a year.

Currently, Kylie Minogue

glasses and sunglasses are sold at Specsavers, her make-up is available online and diehard fans can even bag themselves a limitededition $800 Kylie watch.

One of Kylie’s earliest business ventures had a little less specs appeal but a lot more sex appeal. Love Kylie lingerie was launched in 2001 and sold at London’s high-end department store Selfridges. To promote it, a video of Kylie in her underwear was repeatedly played in the store’s window.

“All I had to do was jump up and down in my underpants,” she cheekily said of the famous campaign.

From 2006 to 2012, Kylie also sold scents made by cosmetic giant Coty. One perfume, Sexy Darling, had a bottle shaped like a bottom, a nod to the sensation she caused in gold hot pants in the Spinning Around video.

Kylie is reported to have bagged more than $30 million on scents alone.

And then there’s her singing career. Kylie is estimated to have made $55 million from her music, which certainly isn’t bad for the girl who first stole our hearts as lovable mechanic Charlene Robinson on Neighbours.
