Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest puts the spotlight on her celeb pals – including an embattled Prince Andrew
For more than a year, Ghislaine Maxwell has as been the most wanted ed woman in the world. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, the 58-year-old Oxford-educated daughter of disgraced media mogul Robert Maxwell was arrested when the FBI swarmed the rural New Hampshire property she’d recently bought for $1.4 million in cash.
Ghislaine was cuffed while wearing trackies and “barely registering” what had happened.

As Woman’s Day went to press, ess, she was incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, waiting to appear in front of a judge in relation to alleged sex crimes, conspiracy and perjury involving her one-time boyfriend and dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Epstein, 66, died by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell last year while awaiting trial on federal charges of sexually abusing underage girls and running a sex trafficking ring.
Ghislaine has the key to her ex’s photos, surveillance footage and worst of all for some of the world’s most famous names, the black book featuring the name of every celebrity, royal and politician who entered into his evil web.
Epstein’s “vast network” was allegedly carried out at his homes in London, Paris, New York, New Mexico and his ocean escape in the Virgin Islands, which was nicknamed “Pedophile Island” by locals, who say everyone knew what the billionaire and his friends were up to.
Reports out of the UK suggest Ghislaine is prepared to cut a deal with her prosecutors, and is seeking a light sentence in exchange for selling out names in Epstein’s black book.
“Jeffrey, and perhaps even more so, Ghislaine, were extremely skilled at making powerful friends, but they also took care to document everything in preparation for a situation like this,” an insider with deep knowledge of the case tells Woman’s Day exclusively.

“Ghislaine’s arrest is very bad news for Andrew. Her testimony and evidence could change everything,” says a source. “Andrew, however, is still labouring under the delusion that he’s untouchable. Him and Ghislaine go a long way back – in fact the suspicion is they were at one time or another romantically involved – so he’s convinced she will never turn on him.
“However, I think she knows she would not survive a prison sentence, so the general belief is that no one is safe if it’s a question of saving herself.”
