MARNIE: ‘I WON’T LET THE OTHER GIRLS GET ME DOWN!’

The free-spirited cowgirl is set to make her mark on Farmer Nick

-

Tasmanian-based Farmer Nick is on the hunt for an independent woman who loves a good wine – and it certainly makes fun-loving mother-of-two Marnie, 48, the perfect match! The Birtinya, Queensland-based contender says she’s here for the right reasons and certainly wasn’t going to let the other girls dim the shine on her rhinestones!

“I’m here to find love! I’m ready for to settle down with the cowboy of my dreams,” she says.

Before the show, how did you go about finding love?

No Tinder, no apps, nothing really! I’ve focused on getting my daughter through school.

Tell us about your previous relationships...

I’ve been married before.. He’s a great dad to our two kids – we have a daughter, 22, and a son, 17.

This is a big move to find love. What had you willing

to risk it all on TV?

Oh baby, there’s never a dull moment with me, that’s for sure! My motto is that you have to grab life by the horns and you gotta ride it. I’ve been single for two years and I wanted to find a cowboy.

Been with a cowboy before?

Oh yeah, once, my first love! He was from Texas, living in Australia. I was helping him out – shooting, branding cattle. Don’t let the makeup and blonde hair fool you, I’m a real hard worker!

Are you worried about how you’ll be perceived on air?

No way! Life’s too short, I do what makes me happy.

How did you deal with all the other women?

I tried so hard to show the girls my love... also wine helped! I sculled lots of wine, that’s what got me through.

Was it tough dealing with the differing personalities?

I let all the drama go over my head, it’s not my problem, it’s theirs.
