KEITH & LEE

The Gogglebox couple are happier than ever

-

The pandemic has turned life on its head. How have your TV habits changed?

LEE Life hasn’t changed too much thankfully! These days Keith is watching lots of footy – he loves Carlton and will watch every game. As for me, l have been really getting into Bachelor In Paradise, Farmer Wants A Wife and I’m superexcited that The Bachelor and The Masked Singer are finally back – they’re great!

This year marks your 35th wedding anniversary. What is the secret to such a successful marriage?

KEITH Definitely being honest with each other – we’re very big on that and no matter what, always tell each other the truth. On top of that, we’re big on fun!

Do you still remember your first date together?

KEITH Yes! Our first date was at the El Dorado, a restaurant In North Melbourne, with my cricket club. Would you believe a mate of mine at the time came up to Lee and I and said, “I think you guys will get married and be together forever.” At the time we just laughed, but here we are. I think my mate’s name was Nostradamus!

Did you ever imagine being on for this long?

Gogglebox

KEITH We would never have thought we would be on a show such as Gogglebox! The best thing about it is that it allows us to be ourselves as couple. It’s what we’re usually doing together anyway – watching TV, me annoying Lee and her rolling her eyes at me.

Lee, do you still have a crush on Manu?

Oh yes! I think it’s the accent that gets me every time! I cannot wait for Plate Of Origin to start.

Keith, it’s only fair you get a celeb crush as well...

I’m obsessed with the blonde bombshell on Gogglebox, you know the one, she sits next to a bloke wearing a singlet, with a beer always in his hand. She’s a spunk! GOGGLEBOX
