Meghan’s Kim K transformation!

The prince’s visa status is under the close eye of the White House

-

Ensconced in her Montecito megamansion, Meghan has started her transformation from royal wife back to her Californian roots – and insiders say she’s starting to resemble another famous face.

“With her long, straight, centre-parted hair and incredibly white teeth, I had to do a double take on whether it was Meghan or Kim Kardashian!” says an insider. “There are also rumours she’s had Botox, which is pretty normal for any woman in showbiz over the age of 35 – but let’s hope she doesn’t take more leaves out of Kim’s book and start going for boob and butt implants!”

News of the Sussexes’ $20 million home buy in Santa Barbara has reached all the way to the White House, according to sources, and the couple’s unspoken enemy, US President Donald Trump, is said to be keenly looking into Prince Harry’s residency status now he’s a homeowner.

Ever since the royal couple landed in California in mid-march, there has been growing speculation about which visa Harry was using to enter the United States, which is strict on immigration.

Many insiders have suggested he’s relying on either three-month or sixmonth visitor visas – for which he’d need to leave the country to renew.

Neither visa allows the visitor to show “intent to stay” in the US – for example, getting a local job – or purchasing a home. Harry, 35, does have the option of applying for a green card – a 10-year permanent residency visa granted after a lengthy process involving reams of forms, an interview and a thorough medical check to spouses of American citizens.

And with Meghan, 39, criticising how the US government is handling the pandemic and civil unrest, and her husband once allegedly declaring Donald Trump has “blood on his hands” over his support for coal production, Woman’s Day has learned that Harry’s status has come under attention from the president.

“The president is a big fan of the royals, especially the Queen, but doesn’t like Meghan and Harry,” says a source close to the White House. “I heard he knows about the California house purchase, and threatened to look in on his visa status personally. I’m sure nothing would please Trump more than deporting Harry – who is about as high profile a naysayer as you can possibly get – if there is any chance to trip him up on his visa status.”

Adding to the US leader’s firm dislike of Meghan – who avoided a state dinner hosted by the Queen in honour of him in 2019 – are the rumours she’s about to publicly throw her support behind his political rivals, the Democrats, ahead of the November election.

“If Harry and Meghan are still getting their immigration ducks in a row, this is not a great time to be slagging off Trump publicly or aligning themselves with his enemies,” says a source.
