Orlando vs Miranda: I’M TAKING FLYNN!

Co-parentingC in a pandemic is proving difficult for the former couple

-

In a very un-hollywood storyline, Aussie model Miranda Kerr and her ex-husband actor Orlando Bloom managed to quietly and respectfully split, share custody of their son and even buddy up with their respective new significant others.

But the poster couple of Hollywood divorce is about to face its first major clash – and insiders say it might get ugly.

PINING FOR HOME

A source reveals that UK native Orlando – who recently welcomed baby Daisy Bloom with fiancee Katy Perry, 35 – is pining for his motherland and wants to take his little family home for a few years.

“Orlando feels like the US isn’t a great place to raise a family right now,” says a source. “Between the wildfires in every direction around their Santa Barbara home, and political friction ahead of a huge election in November, he wants to escape to a quiet British hamlet to focus on his future wife and baby girl. He’s already looking at cottages ages around Canterbury, bury, where he grew up in an idyllic countryside childhood.

Katy’s obsessed d with all things England and is fully on board.” ”

The big sticking point for their grand plan, however, is how they’ll manage 43-yearold Orlando’s joint custody arrangement over his nineyear-old son Flynn, who he

shares with La-based Miranda, 37 – who is now married to Snapchat mogul Evan Spiegel, 30, and parents to two more babies.

“Orlando will expect that Flynn would fly out and join them for an extended period every other month or so,” says a source. “But I can’t see Miranda allowing that, especially while the pandemic’s going on. She won’t want her son being exposed any more

th than he h has to, and i international t travel is about a as bad as it c could get. “Miranda lov loves Orlando and understands his ne need to go home for a while,” the insider adds. “But she has her own family to think of. She can’t have Flynn coming back into LA carrying lord knows what when she has two other small children to think about.” Our source concedes Miranda’s between a rock and a hard place. “Flynn loves his dad and she can’t bear to tear them apart, but what’s she meant to do?” says the insider.

‘This is where it gets tricky for blended families’

“This is where it gets tricky for blended families right now.

“Her solution is to wait until Flynn’s a little older – maybe 14 – and let him go and spend a good few months to a year with his dad, but for now he’s too young and needs his mum.

“But Orlando would miss him terribly. So they’re at a bit of an impasse.”
