Teen heart throbs WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

These Hollywood hunks are all grown up

-

Andrew Keegan

Playing the hunk in classic ’90s fare like 7th Heaven and 10 Things I Hate About You, Andrew certainly had teen hearts racing! The 41-year-old eventually took a break from Hollywood for a higher purpose, founding Full Circle, a “heartcentred” spiritual community in 2014. But when he did return to TV, he poked fun at the unusual gig in a skit for US comedy series Hollywood Darlings, dancing in a cape and a crystal necklace.

Donny Osmond

His pop-singer heartbreaker status may have peaked in the ’70s, but Donny has remained a showbiz fixture. The 63-year-old has kept himself in the spotlight taking on hosting gigs, a variety show, Broadway roles, a winning run on US Dancing With The Stars and an 11-year Las Vegas residency alongside sister Marie. While Donny admits his squeaky-clean image “absolutely hindered” his career in the 1980s, he’s learned to love his wholesome persona. And it’s served him well, with the crooner prepping for an August 2021 return to Vegas!

Leif Garrett

Starting his acting career at the age of five, Leif was a fully-fledged dreamboat and pop phenomenon by the time he hit his teens. Romancing famous beauties like Nicollette Sheridan and Brooke Shields, Leif was at the height of his worldwide fame during the ’70s. However, the singer and actor’s fall from grace – involving several arrests on drug charges, court-ordered rehab stays and a bankruptcy – was just as swift. Now 59, Leif recently revealed he’s sober, still making music and “just taking things one day at a time… [and] that feels good”.

Kirk Cameron

Kirk shot to fame in 1985 as charmer Mike Seaver on Growing Pains, capturing teen hearts everywhere. The actor and born-again evangelical Christian has kept busy since his time on the small screen. The 50-year-old wed fellow Growing Pains star Chelsea Noble in 1991. Together they have six children, four of whom are adopted – Jack, Isabella, Ahna and Luke – and two biological – Olivia and James. Despite having his hands full with his big brood, Kirk still finds time to act

– in 2019, he appeared in an episode of Fuller House, the Netflix sequel to Full House.

Scott Baio

As the star of Happy Days and Charles In Charge, Scott earned his teen idol status with his guy-next-door charisma. But these days, the actor, 60, who last appeared on TV in the 2012 sitcom See Dad Run, is more likely to be speaking out about politics than performing onscreen. During the 2016 election, Scott claimed he “genuinely… [does] not care” if his controversial political views mean he “never work[s] again”. On that note, he recently described a Happy Days reunion to raise money for Wisconsin Democrats as “wrong”.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas

JTT made a name for himself in the early ’90s after landing a starring role as Randy Taylor in hit sitcom Home Improvement. For eight seasons he was the teen heartthrob who crept into every young girl’s heart, but he traded the attention – as well as his role on the show – for the Ivy League. Having walked away before the 1999 series finale, Jonathan went on to study at Harvard and Columbia universities. Now the 39-year-old has returned to the small screen, with stints on former co-star Tim Allen’s sitcom Last Man Standing and a spot on the SAG-AFTRA National Board.
