She might have been Australia’s golden girl when she starred as Felicity Scully on Neighbours, but it seems Holly Candy (nee Valance) doesn’t look back on her time Down Under as fondly.

e former popstar, who currently resides in the UK with her billionaire husband Nick Candy, told GB News’

Chopper’s Political Podcast she had no plans to return home claiming it’s too “woke” and a “nanny state”.

“e Australia I grew up in was unreal. It was so fun and we didn’t seem to have all these problems,” said the 40-year-old. “e woke stu ’s really gone big in Australia.”

She also claimed the “nanny state” of Victoria was still sending her nes every few months for not voting, and that she didn’t return home for her sister Olympia Valance’s wedding because she chose not to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and wasn’t allowed into the country.

“e plan would be to stay and live where we love, which is here [England],” she said. “I don’t want to go anywhere. And Nick doesn’t want to go anywhere. We prefer to be in our country.”

e popstar also shared her views on climate change, calling renewable energy a “complete waste of time” and labelling climate activist Greta unberg a “gremlin”.

“I don’t understand why you have this, like, demonic little gremlin high priestess of climatism as the goddess in classrooms, Greta

( unberg)…” she added.

“e kids are all coming home with depression and anxiety. Why would you go to your music lesson or bother doing your homework or get out of your bed if you think we’re all going to be dead in ve years… ”
