HAS RUSTY CALLED OFF HIS WEDDING... TO BRITNEY?
Russell Crowe refused all invites and requests to celebrate his 60th birthday on April 7, telling friends he had “no plans” to mark the milestone, citing work commitments.
In fact, the Gladiator star, who is lming Nuremberg in Budapest, has become “extremely insular” since last summer, and worried friends fear the worst for his romance with ance Britney eriot.
“Russell’s thrown himself into work and isn’t interested in anything else,” says an insider. “Not even
Britney. It’s safe to say there’s zero talk of weddings and Britney’s not pushing it either. She might feel like he’s pulling away from the situation and it’s only made more complicated by the fact his ex-wife – the o cial ‘love of his life’ – has gushed about how strong their friendship is.”
Tellingly, Britney, 32, and Rusty – who went public with their romance in 2020 – haven’t been photographed together since February. en, last week, Russell’s ex-wife Danielle Spencer, 54, posted a sweet birthday message to the actor, with some loved-up throwback photos of happier times.

“I will be forever thankful that our paths crossed,” added Sydneybased Danielle, who has been dating art dealer and author Adam Long since 2016.
“Don’t think for a moment that won’t have taken his breath away and Danielle bloody knows it,” says an insider of the sweet gesture.
“But she also may be worried, just like Britney, about Russell’s increasing isolation lately. It all started around July, when he started work on [his autobiographical documentary] Last Breath about his life on the road with his band.”
Adds the Hollywood spy, “He’s really going deep with this project. It’s a real warts and all and he’s opening up about stu that he’s not even talked about with his therapist.
“He’s gone into his mental man cave to process, so all big plans like weddings are on hold until he nishes this deeply personal project.”
