Barbara Sandner-troll, together with her father Karl J. Troll, is heading the family business Troll Cosmetics. Besides her own commitment, she emphasises the crucial role her employees play in the company’s success. In the interview with L’officiel Austri
L’O: What is your personal favourite skincare product from the SOPHIE’S GARDEN line, and could you tell us something about your skincare routine?
Barbara Sandner-troll: My absolute favourite product is the Cure Lune. The highly concentrated ampoules are my beauty secret, especially after long journeys, time-consuming meetings and poor sleep. They give my skin the instant effect it needs to look radiant, smooth and refreshed.
L’O: How does the respectful treatment of the environment manifest itself in the sustainable packaging items of SOPHIE‘S GARDEN?
BST: It was clear to us from the very beginning that we want to produce exclusive, luxurious and yet sustainable packaging. For the key product of SOPHIE’S GARDEN, for example, the jar of Crème Phyto Cellulaire, we made a conscious decision to use valuable porcelain, which is made at the renowned French manufactory Bernardaud in Limoges and is a natural material. Many products are supplied with sustainable refills so that the packaging does not simply end up as waste. Of course, we have also thought about the outer packaging: the pearlescent folding cartons for all SOPHIE’S GARDEN products are produced in
Germany, by the progressive and sustainable Gmund Paper Manufacture at
Lake Tegernsee.
L’O: What are the outstanding results that have been achieved with the Cell Conductor Complex® used in SOPHIE’S GARDEN products?
BST: The special thing is that our active ingredient complex made from a very special moss from the Swiss mountain valleys called Funaria Mühlenbergii manages for the first time to act on the skin ageing process one step earlier than before! It goes one level deeper, right down into the pores of the cell nucleus. In healthy, young skin, these pores are where an important exchange takes place between the cell nucleus and cell organelles. As we age, these pores become increasingly clogged, and the skin begins to age. Our Cell Conductor Complex® is now able, for the first time, to keep the pores clear and even unclog them. By means of this fluent exchange of information, mature skin can be sustainably rejuvenated and the ageing process of young skin can be significantly delayed.
L’O: What special fragrances distinguish the SOPHIE’S GARDEN care products and how do they contribute to a luxurious care experience?
BST: The fragrance composition was created by a French perfumer exclusively for SOPHIE’S GARDEN. It contains wonderful pleasant notes such as Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose, White tea, Cedarwood and Musk. Its delicate, floral but at the same time elegant and timeless notes convey a pure sense of well-being. Every skincare moment becomes a very personal luxury.
