Hello, everyone. I’d like to talk to you today about a very important issue: the future of our planet. As you know, the Earth is warming up.

If you look at this graph, you can see the increase in temperatur­es in recent years. It’s clear that climate change is a reality, even if there are still some people who are climatecha­nge deniers.

Global warming is caused by carbon emissions and other greenhouse gases. Carbon dioxide is produced when we burn fossil fuels, like petrol and oil. Methane comes from cows and other farm animals. On the next slide, you can see a pie chart with the factors that contribute to global warming. Electricit­y production is a big factor, along with industry and transport. Our daily activities, such as using electricit­y, eating meat and flying, all add to our personal carbon footprint.
