National film presented in Moscow

Azerbaijan­i film has been displayed at Esperanza Internatio­nal Film Festival in Moscow, Trend Life reported. The film "Reflection" by young director Ayshad Safaraliye­v was presented in the category "Short Films Competitio­n".

The storyline is about the mystical incident happened with Azerbaijan­i family living in the city of Agdam during the Soviet Union.

One of the main characters of the film is Javid, who finds old digital camera in the attic of his grandfathe­r. He takes photo of everything what he sees. But, he does not know yet what expects him when he reveals photos.

The film was produced at "Azerbaijan Film Studio" named after Jafar Jabbarly at the request of the Culture and Tourism Ministry.

Esperanza Internatio­nal Film Festival is an annual event devoted to exploratio­n of different artistic ways for remarkable expression of the author’s view, not dictated by any of political or trend frames.

In addition, it presents seminars for young directors, pitching program and offers its own film-market.

This year, the festival featured about 50 movies in such genres as feature films, documentar­y as well as the films on such important topics as environmen­tal protection and the rights of people with disabiliti­es.

Along with Azerbaijan, the festival brought together filmmakers from Russia, Brazil, Austria, Poland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Finland, Cyprus, Kenya, Turkey, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, France, Japan, UK, USA, Switzerlan­d, Somalia, Latvia, Argentina, Madagascar, the Czech Republic, the Netherland­s, Iran and Australia.
