Carpet Museum to host “The Family Day”

Azerbaijan Carpet Museum invites everyone to enjoy "The Family Day" on September 24, Trend Life reported.

The event is organized in the framework of Open Doors Day.

"The Family Day" aims to unite the interests of parents and children, to strengthen the connection between them, as well as to introduce national art and culture.

It's unique opportunity to learn the history of Azerbaijani carpet weaving, decorative art, and even participate in workshops.

The joyous event is held every last Saturday of the month. Patients with thalassemia and hemophilia can participate for free.

The event will feature pottery painting, handicrafts creation, sewing of Tilda dolls and soft toys under the guidance of Ekaterina Kilchu.

During the mini-excursions related to the embroidery, national clothing, carpets, ceramic and copper vessels guests will have a change to familiarize with country's rich and diverse culture.

Children will dive into the world full of magic together with writer Gulzar Ibrahimova. Psychotherapy courses, organized by psychological center "HUMEL" will strengthen and improve relations in the family.

The event program also includes meeting with famous architect Elchin Aliyev, who will tell the children about the history of Azerbaijan's architecture. Children will also draw one of the landmarks in the city. The authors of the best five works will be awarded.
