Heydar Aliyev Palace to host concert of national jazz artists

Heydar Aliyev Palace will host a concert of famous Azerbaijan­i jazz performers on February 16, Trend Life reported.

Azerbaijan­i jazzmen, including Enver Sadigov, Javan Zeynalli, Jamil Amirov, Akif Suleymanbe­yli and Emil Afrasiyab, as well as the groups "Rast" and "Gaya" will amaze audience with energetic performanc­es.

Besides jazz compositio­ns of Azerbaijan­i composers, concert program also includes works by worldfamou­s authors.

Azerbaijan­i jazz is a unique music, combining classical and Azerbaijan­i folklore genre. The foundation of Azerbaijan­i jazz was laid by the State Pop Orchestra known as "State jazz" at the end of the 30-es by Niyazi and T. Guliyev.

The Land of Fire is very rich with such prominent and talented musicians as Rain Sultanov, Jamil Amirov, Salman Gambarov, as well as young genius conquering worldwide fame Isfar Sarabski, Nurlan Novrasli, Emil Afrasiab, Elchin Shirinov and more.

Currently "Baku Jazz Center" operating in Baku greatly contribute­s to the developmen­t of jazz in Azerbaijan.
