Azerbaijani, American artists come together at Art Expedition

Afinal exhibition within the "Art expedition" project has opened in Art Tower gallery. The exhibition was organized by the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, the Administration of State Historical and Architectural Reserve Icherisheher, NGO Arts Council of Azerbaijan with support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Trend Life reported.

Addressing the event, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at US Embassy William Gil and the head of Arts Council Azerbaijan Dadash Mammadov noted that as part of the project, guests got acquainted with the achievements of Azerbaijan's fine arts, creative people and main exhibition venues in the city.

The project is aimed at showing visions of artists from different countries, traditions and culture of Azerbaijan, the exchange of artistic experience and the strengthening of international cultural cooperation.

American artists Jacob Marty and Shane Guffogg and Azerbaijani masters Eldar Babazadeh, Namig Ismayilzada Fidan Kim, Sala Mammadov, Ilgar Tahiri, Eldar Hasanov, Roya Hasanova worked together during a month to make the show a success.

Eldar Babazade, an artist, said that it was very interesting to work together. "It is not an obstacle even that I don't speak English. As Shane Guffogg said "we speak the language of art," he stressed.

At the end, he invited everyone to visit the Art Tower gallery and to see the creative process of creating pictures.
