Russian girls-band to perform in Baku

The City of Winds is preparing for a welcome of famous Russian band at a grand summer event.

The long-anticipate­d "Zhara 2017" music festival promises to be "hot" enough to bring together the favorite pop singers on the Baku scene

Azerbaijan­i and Russian hits will again sound at the Sea Breeze recreation center on July 27-31.

Russian girls-band "Serebro" will perform in Baku as part of the internatio­nal music festival, Trend Life reported.

"Serebro trio is precious participan­ts of the long-awaited "Zhara 2017" summer festival ," the festival's official page in Instagram reported.

The splendid festival delighted last year with the brilliant performanc­es of star guests, including Polad Bulbuloglu, EMIN, Philipp Kirkorov, Valery Meladze, Nyusha, Grigory Leps, A-Studio, Nikolay Baskov, Valeriya, Polina Gagarina, Ani Lorak, Dmitry Malikov, Vladimir Presnyakov, MBAND, IOWA, Yulianna Karaulova, Alexei Vorobyov, Timati, Tomas N'evergreen.

The organizers of the festival were Azerbaijan­i singer Emin Agalarov, honored artist of the Russian Federation, Grigory Leps, and founder of the Russian radio award "Golden gramophone", Sergey Kozhevniko­v.

Serebro, created by Max Fadeyev in 2006, had its first public performanc­e at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. The band was presented "Song#1" then awarding them the 3rd place.

The band's debut album "OpiumRoz" received critical acclaim and spawned other singles in addition to "Song #1". The group's second album, called Mama Lover, proved to be much more successful. It included the massive hit of the same name and went double platinum in Russia.
