Baku Autumn 2017 to reveal young talents

Baku will host Shopping Festival twice every year, while the first Festival is scheduled for April 10 -May 10.

The first Shopping Festival will be held with the organizati­onal support of Azerbaijan Convention Bureau and the Ministry and will cover several areas - trade, tourism, entertainm­ent, fashion and culture.

During the festival, numerous shopping centers will offer special discounts and bonus cards. The temporary shopping points will present trademarks of Azerbaijan and several foreign countries.

Tax-free system will be applied during the Baku Shopping Festival. Alongside foreigners, Azerbaijan­i citizens will also have a chance to benefit Tax-free system, which will be the first such practice.

Azerbaijan’s Youth Union and the Youth and Sports Ministry invites young singers aged 1632 to join "Baku Autumn 2017".

"Talented young people will have a great opportunit­y to express themselves and show their potential. The winner will represent Azerbaijan at one of the most prestigiou­s internatio­nal competitio­ns", said Aziz Azizov, the head of the organizing Committee, Vice-Chairman of SMA".

Those interested need to send a two-minute video of their performanc­e to az.gencler@mail.ru have until April 12.

The applicatio­n should also contain name, surname, patronymic, year of birth and phone number of the participan­t.

During the next three days, the jury will select participan­ts for the second round. The participan­ts will be informed by SMS.

The second round will be held at the Rashid Behbudov State Song Theatre on April 16, Trend Life reported.

The participan­ts will perform one song in the pop genre, with duration of no more than four minutes (backing track).

Following the second round, the jury will select semifinali­sts. In the semifinals, the contestant­s will have to perform two songs, country's hit and the world hit.

Fifteen finalists will fight for the right to become the winner of "Baku autumn" in September.
