BCC offers fans discounted ‘Junior’ tickets for F1 race

Baku, located on the western edge of the Caspian Sea, is in anticipati­on of the second Formula 1 race on its streets.

This summer’s 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to be staged on the streets of the capital city is scheduled to take place on the weekend June 23-25, 2017.

Baku City Circuit (BCC) announced that it offers discounted ‘Junior’ tickets on all grandstand­s for children aged 2-16 for the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

This offer on a limited number of tickets provides 4-day access to the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix and the prices range from AZN 140 to AZN 480 (cost in US$ will be determined by currency rate on day of purchase).

Bulent Ozerdim, BCC’s Commercial Director, invited Formula 1 fans not to miss the chance to get hold of discounted tickets for their children.

“We are offering a wide range of options for families who want to witness the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix live here in Baku. More junior tickets than ever before will be made available to families, starting today. Ticket holders will also be granted full access to the circuit’s many various entertainm­ent programme taking place during the race weekend. We are urging all families who love F1 to act fast to secure these specially-discounted “Junior” tickets before they sell out!”he said.

A 4-day ticket will include access to not only three days of racing but also to a special Pit Lane Walk on Thursday, June 22nd as well as to all entertainm­ent programmes taking place on Baku Boulevard during the race weekend.

The last year’s race confirmed the newest street circuit in F1 as the fastest of its kind, with a new F1 street circuit speed record set by Valtteri Bottas (recording an official speed of 366kph along the circuit’s main straight, later unofficial­ly recorded as reaching an astonishin­g 378kph) while it also delivered the joint-fastest pit stop of all time by the Williams Martini Racing team (on Felipe Massa’s car), matching the existing Red Bull record of 1.92 seconds, previously set at the U.S. Grand Prix in 2013.

Last year, biggest stars in world music such as Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias and Pharrell Williams were the headline musical acts throughout the weekend of the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe.

Baku City Circuit will surprise all guests with interestin­g series of concerts this year.
