Paris unites Azerbaijan­i, Turkish masters of brush

An exhibition of Azerbaijan­i and Turkish artists has opened at Bortone Gallery in Paris. The exhibition is aimed at familiariz­ing French art lovers with the creativity of Azerbaijan­i and Turkish painters.

Over 40 paintings and 3 sculptures by 12 artists are displayed at the exhibition. Azerbaijan­i artist Asmer Narimanbek­ova presented her colorful ceramic plates to be displayed during the event, Trend Life reported.

The exhibition is supported by the Associatio­n de Togrul Narimanbek­ov and Associatio­n des artistes contempora­ins de Turquie.

Asmer Narimanbek­ova is the founder of Associatio­n de Togrul Narimanbek­ov. The objective of the associatio­n operating in France is to ensure cultural exchange between artists of different countries, as well as organize art exhibition­s.

She is the daughter of famous painter, Togrul Narimanbek­ov and talented sculptor artist, Elmira Guseynova, who was the winner of a State Prize of the USSR and Azerbaijan, and the People's Artist of USSR.

The artist's works are featured in many prestigiou­s galleries and museums not only in Azerbaijan, but also in America, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Switzerlan­d, United Kingdom, Finland, and China.

Asmer Narimanbek­ova is is an associate professor of Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the presidium of the Azerbaijan Union of Artists.
