Alanya Film Fes­ti­val to screen Azer­bai­jani films

Azer­bai­jani films will be shown at the Alanya Crys­tal Cas­tle In­ter­na­tional Film Fes­ti­val. Four films, in­clud­ing "The Steppe Man", "Too many co­in­ci­dences", "In­ner City" and "Red Gar­den" will be screened dur­ing the fes­ti­val sched­uled for May 2-8, Trend Life re­ported.

Peo­ple's artist Fakhraddin Manafov will be the spe­cial guest of the fes­ti­val.

"The Steppe Man" film is about a young steppe man who lives in re­mote­ness from the city, closely tied to na­ture. His fa­ther teaches him the sub­tleties of life in the steppe. Soon af­ter his fa­ther's death the young man meets a girl from a city. Their meet­ing be­comes a new page in his life, a step to a big life un­fa­mil­iar to him be­fore. The film's di­rec­tor Shamil Aliyev and ac­tor Bahruz Vag­i­foglu will present film at the fes­ti­val.

“Too many co­in­ci­dences” is a ro­man­tic com­edy. The main char­ac­ters are Mike Ko­val­ski, a young Amer­i­can of Azer­bai­jani de­scent and a young busi­ness woman Ay­dan Ba­girzade face a num­ber of sim­i­lar sit­u­a­tions. They meet by ac­ci­dent and their meet­ing is full of sur­prises.

“In­ner city” is a psy­cho­log­i­cal drama, di­rected by Il­gar Safat. The sto­ry­line is about love of a young girl to Karabakh war vet­eran. The lead roles are per­formed by Tah­mina Rafaella, Fir­dovsi Atak­ishiyev, Mehriban Zeki and Elmira Sha­banova. The film will be pre­sented to spec­ta­tors by film's di­rec­tor Il­gar Safat and ac­tress, hon­ored artist of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Zaki.

"Red Gar­den" film, di­rected by Mir­bala Sal­imli tells the story of a pro­vin­cial teacher from blue blood, Ab­bas. А des­per­ate de­sire of hav­ing his own son makes him so in­dif­fer­ent to or­phan in his cus­tody and even to dead­lock sit­u­a­tion of his beloved spouse Vafa. But ev­ery­thing changes, when he him­self causes Vafa’s death. Now in the otherworld Ab­bas is crav­ing to have back all the things that he couldn’t pro­tect in this world…

The film will be pre­sented at the fes­ti­val by di­rec­tor and scriptwriter, hon­ored art worker Mir­bala Sal­imli and ac­tress, hon­ored artist Gulzar Gur­banova.
