“Youthvi­sion 2017” song con­test re­turn­ing

Baku will host "Youthvi­sion 2017" in­ter­na­tional song con­test. More than 80 tal­ented singers from all over the world will gather in Baku on April 21, Az­er­tac re­ported.

The song con­test aims to re­veal the tal­ented cre­ative youth, en­sure ef­fi­cient or­ga­ni­za­tion of leisure of youth, sup­port and de­velop in­ter­na­tional re­la­tions in the sphere of youth pol­icy.

The con­test, to be or­ga­nized by the Youth and Sports Min­istry and the Azerbaijan Stu­dent Youth Or­ga­ni­za­tions' Union (ASYOU), will be held un­der slogan "Al­ways Young".

In 2013, the Union, to­gether with the Youth and Sports Min­istry held Univi­sion -- the first in­ter­na­tional song con­test among stu­dents of univer­si­ties. The or­ga­niz­ers de­cided to change the for­mat into Youthvi­sion, which will bring to­gether young peo­ple aged 14-35.

The first-ever host "Youthvi­sion "in­ter­na­tional song con­test was held in 2016. Singers from Rus­sia, Be­larus, Ukraine, Ge­or­gia, Poland, Brazil, Turkey, Iran, Greece and a num­ber of other coun­tries took part in the song con­test in Baku.
