‘Charms of Hungary and Azerbaijan’ on display

An exhibition entitled "Charms of Hungary and Azerbaijan" has opened at Azerbaijan's National Art Museum.

The photo exhibition organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Baku is timed to the 25th anniversar­y of the establishm­ent of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary.

Prominent public and art figures, representa­tives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan attended the event, Trend Life reported.

Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Imre Laszloczki, addressing the event, stressed the 25th anniversar­y of the establishm­ent of diplomatic relations between the two countries is a significan­t event.

The diplomat added that the relations between Hungary and Azerbaijan are at high level and there is a good potential for their developmen­t and expansion in the future. Further, guests got acquainted with the works of photograph­s, who presented works that reflect the beauty of nature, urban landscapes, monuments, iconic architectu­ral structures of Azerbaijan and Hungary - Baku, Nakhchivan, Shamakhi, Lankaran, Sheki, Ganja, Budapest, Hortobágy, Kalocsa, Eger, Tihany and many others.

Baku hosted “Days of Hungary” on March 16-18 to familiariz­e Azerbaijan­is with the country, its history and traditions. The series of events featured exhibition, concert and fashion to showcase both traditiona­l and modern culture of Hungary.

Hungary recognized Azerbaijan's independen­ce in 1991, and diplomatic relations between the two countries were establishe­d in April 1992.

The two countries enjoy a huge capacity for the developmen­t of trade and economic cooperatio­n. Hungary is also a good platform for Azerbaijan­i investors.
