Country’s national park screened in full beauty
“Absheron National Park” documentary from “9 wonders of Azerbaijan” series, a special project of IDEA Public Union, was presented at the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku on April 3.
Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva attended the event. Before the presentation of the film, Leyla Aliyeva watched the exhibition of photographs made by the film’s director Igor Bishnev during the filming.
The stands “Tops of Azerbaijan”, “Fauna of Azerbaijan ”,“Birds of Prey ”, “Water World”, “Flora of Azerbaijan”, “Red Book of Azerbaijan”, “Migratory Birds”, “During filming” were presented at the exhibition.
The presentation of the film began with the video showing IDEA Animal Care Center (IACC).
Addressing the event, Igor Bishnev stressed the importance of IDEA Animal Care Center (IACC), noting that all the conditions were created there. He also expressed gratitude to the founder and the head of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva.
“Even 10-20 such centers will not solve the problems of homeless animals, they are much broader.
But the most important thing is that the creation of this Center reminds all of us that we first of all need to take care of the environment,” the director said.
Then “Absheron National Park” documentary was shown to the viewers.
The film tells about the youngest national park in Azerbaijan. The park, created in 2005, is located about 60 kilometers from Baku. Although the area of the park is small, it has its own characteristics. So, the rich world of animal life here is concentrated on one peninsula. The proximity of the territory to the capital makes it easier to visit the park. Another feature of Absheron National Park is the location near the Caspian Sea.
“Nine Wonders of Azerbaijan” project is initiated by Leyla Aliyeva. The project provides for the creation of documentaries about each of the country’s nine national parks.
The following films will tell about Shahdag, Hirkan, Altiagach, Zangezur and Samur-Yalama national parks.
IDEA’s “Nine wonders of Azerbaijan” project aims to promote the fascinating natural beauties of Azerbaijan both within and outside the country, and to highlight the importance of protecting the environment.
