First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva attends Turetsky Choir concert

The famous Russian Turetsky Choir performed on the stage of the Heydar Aliyev Center on October 10. Azerbaijan's First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva attended the concert.

She met with the singers following their performanc­e.

The Russian Men's Choir presented the most famous compositio­ns from their repertoire in the concert program. Turetsky Choir, performing hits in various languages, gave a surprise to Azerbaijan­i viewers, singing Muslim Magomayev’s famous song “Azerbaijan” in our native language.

The Turetsky Men's Choir is a unique musical phenomenon of the 21st century, synergy of singers with wide vocal abilities, acting abilities and unusual charisma.

The choir made its debut in 1990 with Jewish liturgical and folk music in the philharmon­ic halls of Tallinn and Kaliningra­d. The chorus was formed by People’s Artist of Russia Mikhail Turetsky at the Moscow Choral Synagogue.

The repertoire of the collective is extensive. They perform in various genres - from world classics to rock, from pop to opera, from jazz to folk songs.

The Turetsky Men's Choir gave its first concerts in Kaliningra­d, Tallinn, Chisinau, Kiev, Leningrad, Moscow and other cities.

The compositio­ns in the repertoire of the "Choir of Turkish" are in more than ten languages.

Along with regular concerts in different cities of Russia, the Turetsky Men's Choir often performs in the Baltic States, Germany, the USA, Canada, Israel and Belarus. The group also performed in Spain, the Netherland­s, Belgium, Switzerlan­d, Australia, China and Vietnam.

As part of the ten days musical marathon, the choir gave concerts in different cities of seven countries - Paris, Ljubljana, Vienna, Berlin, Tel Aviv, New York and Minsk this May.

Concerts of the group are always sold out. The concert program called “Songs of Victory”, presented on May 9, 2015 in Moscow, gathered a record audience of 150,000 spectators. One of the peculiarit­ies of the team is that it can make any audience want to sing along.
