Ilham Aliyev: Cooperation between Azerbaijani, Chechen peoples reached new level
President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Head of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation Ramzan Kadyrov on November 27.
Ilham Aliyev said that cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the North Caucasus republics of the Russian Federation, including the Chechen Republic contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that the visit of the delegation led by Ramzan Kadyrov will contribute to further expansion of Azerbaijan-Russia relations as well as bilateral cooperation with the Chechen Republic.
The head of state hailed the historically friendly relations between the Azerbaijani and Chechen peoples, saying that bilateral cooperation between the two countries has reached a new level. President Aliyev congratulated Ramzan Kadyrov and the friendly Chechen people on the great strides made in social and economic areas, pointing out Ramzan Kadyrov’s special role in these achievements.
The head of state also emphasized the importance of the establishment of stability and peace in the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation.
He noted that based on strategic partnership, bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation continue developing successfully in all areas, and underlined the role of the reciprocal visits of the two countries’ presidents in this regard.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the significance of the Interregional Forum, which was held during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Azerbaijan.
In turn, Ramzan Kadyrov noted that great strides have been made in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, adding that a lot has been done to strengthen solidarity among religious communities, including among Muslims in the country.
“We see how you build brotherly relations, hold conferences, accept not only spiritual leaders but also the leadership of the regions and unite not only Muslims, all confessions. It is worth a lot. Therefore, the Azerbaijani people also see it, all Caucasian peoples see it,” he said.
He said he is glad that the two nations have fraternal, friendly relations.
“We develop cultural, sports, other relations, and most importantly, these are fraternal relations. Because in the most difficult years, I cannot but remember, President Heydar Aliyev helped, extended a helping hand to our people and helped until the end, supported us. We will never forget this. Therefore, in memory of our esteemed Heydar Aliyev, we prepared a square in the republic,” Kadyrov stressed.
Kadyrov invited President Aliyev to pay a visit to the Chechen Republic, saying that it will be very important for both politically and fraternally.
He expressed gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for everything he does for all Muslims of the Caucasus and, in particular, for our region.
Sharing the same region in the center of Eurasia Azerbaijan and Russia's Chechen Republic enjoy frinedly and fraternal ties for many decades. The two nations maintain balance and develop the most positive trends in their relations.
