Logo of 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championsh­ips unveiled

The exhibition held in Istanbul ended on February 3.

The Azerbaijan­i delegation, along with Azerbaijan Xava Yollari CJSC, Heydar Aliyev Internatio­nal Airport, also includes representa­tives of various travel companies and hotels. In the pavilion with an area of 70 square meters, photos and videos showing the tourist potential of Azerbaijan are presented, and brochures are distribute­d.

During the exhibition, bilateral business meetings with representa­tives of various countries are held.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, visited the pavilion of Azerbaijan during the exhibition. The head of the Department of Internatio­nal Markets of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, Sevinj Zeynalli, informed the minister about current tourist relations between the two countries.

In turn, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stressed the importance of expanding tourist ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan and wished everyone success.

The EMİTT exhibition, which has been held since 1997, is considered one of the five largest tourist exhibition­s in the world. Over 54,000 guests, 1065 travel companies from 85 countries attended the exhibition in 2018.

Emil Safronov, Marketing Director, Republic of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism said that EMITT is a very important promotiona­l platform for Azerbaijan’s tourism sector; it contribute­s greatly to our sales and marketing activities.

He declared that Azerbaijan participat­es in this exhibition since 2003 and in terms of interest from national and internatio­nal companies, the exhibition keeps on developing.

Among exhibitors of 2018 were such countries as Albania, Azerbaijan, Bahrein, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovin­a, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guinea, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Macedonia, Maldives, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, North Cyprus, Palestine, Philippine­s, Russia, Serbia, Seychelles, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taipei, Tunisia, United States., Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zanzibar.

TOn the logo, where the grace of a woman is emphasized by the combinatio­n of purple, gold and red tones, ribbon was selected as the main tool.

The elegance of the ribbon, which is one of the favorite apparatuse­s of a gymnast, is displayed on the logo, Trend reported.

In 2019, Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation will hold a series of largescale events in various gymnastic discipline­s.

Thus, this year the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation will hold three world cups, two European championsh­ips and one world championsh­ip.

Trampoline Gymnastics World Championsh­ips will be held on February 16-17.

A month later, on March 14-17, the Gymnastics World Cup will be held for the fourth time in the country.

April and May months will be marked by rhythmic gymnastics performanc­es.

The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will be held April 26-28. A week later, the European Artistic Gymnastics Championsh­ip will be held in Baku on May 16-19.

The main feature of the world cups in trampoline and artistic gymnastics as well as the world championsh­ip in rhythmic gymnastics is that their winners will get a license for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF), which was founded in 1956, has experience­d revival since 2002 and the renewed federation lifted this popular sport to a new level. Currently, AGF comprises seven gymnastics discipline­s recognized by the Internatio­nal Federation of Gymnastics (FIG).

The National Gymnastics Arena specialize­d in all six competitiv­e gymnastics discipline­s and hosted all large-scale competitio­ns held in Baku from the day of its opening in 2014, is in the spotlight of not only the gymnasts, willingly joining the training camp, but, all the sports fans from different countries of the world with its uniqueness.
