Mastercard’s “Commerce for Every Device” programme seeks to transform any Internet-connected object into a wireless payment device. The company has teamed with a wide range of industry experts including wearables brands Ringly and Nymi on smart jewelry, General Motors on key fobs, and designer Adam Selman on clothing and accessories. The devices are projected to be ready for use in 2016.
