Via a vis­ually-strik­ing out­door cam­paign, BLC prom­ises to lend you a hefty sums of money with­out the cus­tom­ary has­sle. The en­tire con­cept uses the visual of acorns or ‘Ball­out’ to fur­ther il­lus­trate that point. This is a di­rec­tion that does not trans­late to other lan­guages and is very spe­cific to an Ara­bic ex­pres­sion, which reads, ‘Bala ball­out’, lit­er­ally mean­ing, no joke, or no BS. Though it may not win at Cannes, it none­the­less is a wel­come type of il­lus­tra­tion that com­mu­ni­cates a rare qual­ity among bankers: a sense of hu­mour. This ad is the first project rolling out of Blue­train, the new bou­tique agency in town and it sets the tone for fu­ture work. May this wal­nut grow into a mighty oak.
