Prob­a­bly one of the most min­i­mal record cov­ers ever. A stun­ning ex­am­ple of non-brand­ing, not even both­er­ing to men­tion the band name and al­bum ti­tle. “A funny com­bi­na­tion of shy­ness and ar­ro­gance,” Sav­ille re­mem­bers. “It’s not cool to put the name on the front. That’s like … try­ing a bit hard, isn’t it?” In­stead, the cover fea­tures a ra­dio fre­quency of a pul­sar, taken from an astron­omy en­cy­clo­pe­dia. Sav­ille later cre­ated three­d­i­men­sional re-in­ter­pre­ta­tions, yet noth­ing beats the Big Bang of this lin­ear im­age.
