October 1 was a sad day for the music industry after legendary French singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour, who had performed many times in Lebanon, was pronounced dead at the age of 94 in one his homes in south-eastern France, after a successful career spanning over 80 years. Known for hits like She and La Bohème and beloved by the Lebanese and Lebanese-armenian public in particular due to his Armenian roots, Aznavour was respectfully remembered by social media users and celebrities for his immense talent and timeless contribution to the industry. During his lifetime, the star sold over 80 million records and was featured in more than 60 films. He was named entertainer of the century by CNN in 1998 before being awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.
