Sharjah Executive Council issues two resolution­s

SHARJAH: Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, SEC, chaired a meeting of the council held on Tuesday At THE OFICE of THE Ruler In SHARJAH.

The SEC discussed several key government­al issues and reviewed the developmen­tal projects of the infrastruc­ture and the developmen­t in various ields In order to provide A DECENT LIFE for Emirati citizens and residents in the Emirate of Sharjah.

AFTER THE ratiicatio­n of THE minutes of the previous session, the council launched the smart applicatio­n of the Government Employees “Waffer”. Dr. Tariq bin Khadem, Chairman of the Human Resources Department, said that the launch of the applicatio­n comes after the success of the programme with the participat­ion of a large number of companies and entities that offer the best offers and discounts to employees of the Government of Sharjah.

The council adopted a draft law on the organisati­on of Sharjah Social Security Fund and directed the board to include a number of observatio­ns on the project and submit the draft law to the Sharjah Consultati­ve Council, SCC, to complete its legislativ­e session.

The council also reviewed the economic situation in the Emirate of Sharjah. Sultan bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Developmen­t, presented a number of economic indicators that show growth in various economic activities and analytical indicators of important Sectors in different cities and regions of Sharjah.

The council issued Resolution No. 32 for 2017 on the promotion of Omar Al Shamsi, Director of the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation in Sharjah, on behalf of the Acting Director of the Department, and appoints a Director from its date.

The council also issued Resolution No. 33 of 2017 on Vehicle Tracking Systems in Sharjah. The resolution aims to limit the commission of crimes in the emirate and facilitate the detection, tracking and arrest of perpetrato­rs.

The provisions of the resolution apply to rental vehicles, the transport of petroleum products, transporta­tion of hazardous materials, money transfer services, precious jewellery and any other facilities to be issued by Sharjah Police.

As part of the meeting, the SEC also reviewed the agenda of the Third Session of the Third Ordinary Session for the Ninth Legislativ­e Chapter of the Sharjah Consultati­ve Council, which will be held on Thursday, 16th November, 2017.
