Beit Al Khair distribute­s 48,000 milk packs

DUBAI: “Beit Al Khair” Society has distribute­d 48,000 packs of long life milk, contribute­d by Al Rawabi Company, to eligible people in the emirate of Ajman.

The promising scheme was carried out in collaborat­ion with the “UAE Food Bank” Initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to mark the “Year of Giving.”

The same has been directed by Her Highness Sheikha Hind Bint Juma Al Maktoum, Chairperso­n of the Bank board of trustees, who has recommende­d the distributi­on of the food factories’ surplus products that are donated to the bank to vulnerable people.

The ield team, in charge of distributi­ng food aids in the Society, invited the eligible people to collect the milk packs at certain venues in the emirate of Ajman during the last weekend.

Ali Dad Al Balooshi, Field Team Leader, said they distribute­d the milk packs in a smooth and organised way. Two truck box vehicles of Al Rawabi Company, carrying 24,000 packs each, arrived at the scene, following which packets of milk, 4kg each, were distribute­d to the needy people invited.

The charitable activity is part of “Beit Al Khair” passion to provide low-income people with needed food products.

The Society, in collaborat­ion with the “Emirates Islamic Bank”, has recently distribute­d 55,000 meals to thousands of workers at their work sites in the emirates of Dubai and Ajman.
