Promoting UAE’S message of tolerance in London
LONDON: “7D News”, a UAE new English-language website seeking to promote the country’s message of tolerance to the whole world, has gone live in London, to bridge the gap between cultures and communities.
TOLERANCE FEATS
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the occasion, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, said, “The UAE abounds in diverse and multi-faceted achievements that are not confined to the developmental arena only, but we rather speak here about the humanitarian accomplishments in areas of tolerance, and the deeplyrooted diversity ensured in the country under the directives of our wise leadership.
We are determined to address the West in a western tongue to convey the country’s message and humanitarian values in the best possible way.”
NEW FUTURE
The new outlet builds a new future and creates a peace for all people, regardless of their religion, their nationality, their ethnicity and their color, he added.
Nadia Turki, News Director at 7Dnews, said the new outlet seeks to develop a ‘behind the news’ content in an agile, professional way.
She added that the London-based platform has hired a network of journalists from around the world to provide features, film and news content in a way that inculcates the values of tolerance and peace.
FOCUS ON MIDDLE EAST
7Dnews will address the political intelligentsia in the West with a focus on key areas of interest across the Middle East, including counterterrorism, seeking to bridge the gap between cultures and promote peace and diversity in a way that translates the UAE vision for tolerance and moderation to the higher good of humanity at large, she added.
