ABU DHABI: Khalid Mohammed Al Duklah, a Syrian national living in the UAE for 40 years, has expressed his overwhelming joy and gratitude to the UAE leadership, government and people for the recovery of his mother, Noor Hamdi, 93.

A few days ago, his mother went to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi for medical checkup as she was suffering from problems in her urinary system.

The medical examination revealed she had a Covid-19 infection.

She was transferred immediately to Al Rahba Hospital where she received utmost care and was given the necessary medical treatment that suited her age.

Khalid said that his mother’s recovery was due to God Almighty and due to the great care and atention she received from the medical and adminstrative staff at Al Rahba Hospital. He said his mother recovered and let the intensive care ater 15 days to carry on with her recuperation journey.

Khalid revealed that his mother did not show any symptoms of her Covid-19 infection and that she went to the hospital for medical examination because she was suffering from problems in her urinary system.

The early and rapid examination conducted by the medical staff in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, however, showed that she had a Covid-19 infection in an early stage and this helped her recover, Khalid added.

Khalid has thanked all medical staff in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City and Al Rahba Hospital, stressing that had it not been for the great health care his mother received and had the virus not been discovered before any symptoms appeared, she would have fallen more ill and this would have decreased her recovery chances especially due to her old age.
