Deputy Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Ahmed passes away

SHARJAH: The Court of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who passed away on Thursday, in the United Kingdom.

The Court expressed hearfelt condolence­s to the family of the deceased and Al Qawasims praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise and to grant patience and solace to his family.

Official mourning was also announced, and the UAE flag will be flown half-mast in the Emirate of Sharjah for three days beginning from the time of arrival of the deceased’s body and performing the funeral prayer.

Condolence­s will be accepted via telephone through numbers that will be assigned and announced later.

The Ministry of Presidenti­al Affairs has mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed.

In a statement, the Ministry prayed to God to rest the soul of the deceased in peace and grant his family patience and solace to bear their loss.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also sent his condolence­s to Sheikh Sultan on the demise of Sheikh Ahmed.

“Our condolence­s to Sheikh Sultan and to the people of Sharjah on death of Sheikh Ahmed, May God rest his soul in peace. May Allah grant patience and solace to the family during these difficult and trying times. We belong to God and to Him we return,” tweeted Sheikh Mohammed.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also offered his condolence­s.

“My sincere condolence­s to my brother Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and his family on the passing of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi. I pray they are granted patience and solace during these difficult and trying times. May he rest in peace.”

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed.

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, also mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed.

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed.

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, also mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed.
