AD park fetes healthcare workers
ABU DHABI: Umm Al Emarat Park announced on Thursday that all of the UAE’S frontline healthcare professionals will be granted 10 complimentary entry tickets to the Park, valid until the end of this year, in addition to a 25 per cent discount at select food and beverage ( F&B) outlets as a gesture of gratitude for their services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Healthcare professionals can avail the 25 per cent discount at a number of restaurants and cafes in the Park, including Mövenpick Ice Cream (valid for a period of 3 months following the Park’s opening date), Green For Life, Pinza, Otaku, The Guilt Free Cafe and Farmers Bistro upon opening at the Park, and until the end of the year.
Rasha Kablawi, Head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communications Department, said: “Umm Al Emarat Park is incredibly grateful for the steadfast commitment of frontline healthcare workers in the UAE who have been working tirelessly and sacrificing their personal time to protect the health and safety of the wider community during these uncertain times. These exceptional circumstances called for everyone to stand together, and while no gesture will ever be enough to give back to our frontline workers, this is the Park’s small token of appreciation. This special offer to our healthcare workers would not have been possible without the support of our partners.”
Eligibility for the complimentary Park entry and discounts covers all registered doctors and nurses in the UAE. Healthcare professionals can show personal proof confirming their employment in the healthcare sector to the Park’s security at the main gate and at the respective F&B outlets.
Umm Al Emarat Park is the largest green space in the centre of Abu Dhabi bringing people together in a family-friendly environment. A unique destination, the park offers guests vibrant community and wellness events, explorative learning through play, and diverse dining experiences, all whilst connecting with nature.
The month of March marked Umm Al Emarat Park’s five-year anniversary since reopening in 2015, ater undergoing a two-year redevelopment.
Since then, the Park has established itself as a top green destination, atracting more than 3.5 million guests and visitors from around the world and hosting more than 250 local, regional and international events.
In the past five years, the Park hosted three Guinness World Records, including the world’s longest handshake, the largest variety of desserts served, and the signing of the tolerance plaque.
