Honour for American University in Dubai
DUBAI: American University in Dubai (AUD) has been placed as the city’s top university in the latest release of the globally renowned and respected QS World University Rankings. The 2021 edition of the annual listing also positions the University in the top 650 institutions worldwide, #24 in the Arab region’s ranking and among the top four in two global diversity indicators.
This year’s ranking confirms the university’s growing reputation for academic excellence and graduate employability, both regionally and internationally. In addition to being named number one in Dubai, AUD has been ranked among the top five universities in the UAE and among the top 51 percentile globally, it’s highest position in six years.
As an institution renowned for providing an authentic North American education experience based in the Middle East, AUD also registered a remarkable performance in the listing’s diversity indicators, with a global ranking of number two for international faculty, and number four for international students. The university also made significant advances against the ranking’s research and academic reputation indicators.
The 2021 QS World University Rankings evaluated over 5,500 higher education institutions across the globe. AUD is among an elite group of 1,000 universities from 80 locations that made it into the listing, which is based on a range of performance measures, including reputation in the academic and employer communities, research output, and faculty/ student indicators.
