Actor Kevin Hart in drive to back passionate dreamers

Online users across the world can share their dream in a one-minute high-quality video and post it to their Instagram accounts using #Marsshot

A new digital campaign challenges people from around the world to set out and make their wildest dreams come true. The Mars Shot with Kevin Hart follows on from his successful ‘Moon Shot’ campaign, but takes things a step further.

The Emirates has partnered with Kevin Hart to make three people’s crazy dreams come true, encouragin­g people to imagine the impossible and set goals and motivation­s that show there truly are no limits when people dream and set out to accomplish their dreams.

Online users across the world can share their dream in a one-minute high-quality video and post it to their Instagram accounts using #Marsshot. Ater stages of public voting and evaluation, three inspiring dreamers will have their impossible become possible ater they are officially announced in a live virtual event, to be hosted by Kevin Hart, on July 29, 2020.

Megastar Kevin Hart’s collaborat­ion with The Emirates, will support passionate dreamers who have big, inspiring and impacful ideas that bring a positive change to their own lives and communitie­s across the world.

The Mars Shot aims to spread positivity, unite people towards the human desire to grow, and highlight their capability to achieve the impossible with willpower and determinat­ion. The campaign has been inspired by The Emirates’ own Mars Shot – the launch of the Emirates Mars Mission’s ‘Hope’ Probe to Mars on July 15, 2020.

Kevin Hart, who emerged from humble beginnings to become the world’s highest grossing comedian and a highly sought-ater movie star, added, “Through this campaign, we dare people to dream. We dare them to make their goals in life so big and show them that what they have thought of as impossible, is possible.”

The comedian, actor and producer noted, “We hope to create a positive momentum and share inspiring stories that remind people of their wonderful ability to dream and make anything happen with determinat­ion and willpower. I could not find a beter partner than my friends in The Emirates to carry this message forward and enable people globally to accomplish what they have long wished for. I am commited to empowering individual­s to change their realities to the beter.”

Alia Al Hammadi, director of the Emirates Nation Brand office, said, “Since its foundation, The Emirates has united people from more than 190 nationalit­ies to fulfil their utmost potential. This investment in the human capital has, in return, driven the nation’s rapid growth and developmen­t to great strides in less than half a century. She added, “Together with Kevin Hart, this campaign is the first step towards bringing the world’s youth together and inspiring them that the impossible does not exist with resilience and determinat­ion.”

The Mars Shot campaign is part of The Emirates’ wider mission to make global contributi­ons that help build a beter future for humanity. To this end The Emirates is commited to making these dreams a reality. On July 15, 2020, the young nation will lead the Arab world’s first space mission through its Hope Probe to Mars, which will contribute to global efforts to explore the Red Planet. The probe will gather comprehens­ive data on the Martian atmosphere to be shared for free with over 200 research centers and institutio­ns across the world.

PARTICIPAT­ION STAGES: To be eligible for the competitio­n, participan­ts need to follow @ marsshotua­e on Instagram before posting their videos, which must not exceed one minute, under #Marsshot. Submission­s close on July 19, 2020.

Entries will be evaluated based on the originalit­y and personal associatio­n with the dream, impact, message content and quality of presentati­on. Dreams submited need to be tangible and practical to achieve on real grounds.

Once submission­s end, the judging panel will shortlist 15 finalists on the campaign’s official website www.marsshot.ae and invite the public to vote for the top five dreamers. On July 24, 2020, the shortliste­d five will be announced.

Ater further panel interviews and evaluation, Kevin Hart and a representa­tive from The Emirates will announce the three winners in a live virtual event livestream­ed on July 29, 2020.

Mars Shot is open to all nationalit­ies and age groups across the world.
